Bill Anderson practices in a broad range of sports and entertainment law areas, including contract negotiation, handling endorsement opportunities, and protecting the right of publicity. Mr. Anderson also has significant experience in tax law, estate planning and business and corporate matters and is well prepared to handle the array of interests that an athlete, celebrity, or sports/entertainment business may encounter. From draft day or first audition through retirement and beyond, Bill Anderson can help!

 

Mr. Anderson has received an extensive formal education in both accounting and law. Before attending law school, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Accounting, graduating magna cum laude. Mr. Anderson earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from Stetson University College of Law. He is currently admitted to practice law before the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of International Trade, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tampa and all State Courts of Florida.

 

Mr. Anderson obtained significant business and financial accounting experience as in-house counsel for a major public utility company. Mr. Anderson was responsible for the monitoring and investigation of insider trading and securities transactions. His responsibilities also included corporate governance and accountability issues under Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory and stock market requirements. Mr. Anderson investigated and wrote reports involving: Board Roles and Responsibilities, Ethics and Corporate Compliance, Risk Management and Controls, and Transparency and Disclosure matters.
